Funds For Roxy 3: Disabled Puppy

My friend's dog, Roxy, was paralyzed and needed a very expensive surgery so that she would be able to walk again. I decided to try and raise a little money to donate to her in addition to what I myself am able to give. 100% of the proceeds from this drawing will go towards paying for Roxy's surgery. She has a way to go, but is recovering nicely. You can see the other drawings I made for this fund below, along with a journal with ACEO cards I will also donate profits from.

  Raising Money For Dog's SurgeryOne month ago, my friend's dog Roxy was paralyzed in her back legs due to a spinal disc issue and needed surgery so that she would be able to walk again. I was pretty surprised to hear this because when my little dog was 3 years old, the same thing happened to him. He was in pain and crying one night, and the next day he was paralyzed. The dog would need immediate emergency surgery to have any hope of using it's back legs again. Her dog Roxy had the surgery one month ago and is recovering very nicely. This is a very expensive surgery- it was $5000 when we got it for my dog 9 years ago. My friend has a Go Fund Me page for hers for $8000, which shows how the cost of this procedure increased over the years. This is a testament to how much we love our pets!

Drawing of the disabled "Beaumont Puppy" whose pictures became widespread on the internet. Just looking at this dog was so heartwarming to me and I hope he is doing well. My dog also needs some kind on wheelchair because he can barely walk or stand anymore- a combination of old age and having had the very same surgery Roxy just did 9 years ago.

Drawn on 4.5 x 6.5 inch cardstock paper. Done with pencil.
